How much does it cost for me and 3 friends to travel to the UK from the U.S. for 2 weeks?

Three friends and I are planning to travel to the U.S. [probably in California, but we're not sure quite yet] to the UK. Probably we will mostly stay around London and Hertfordshire. For travel, probably we will get either the train or bus.
